PEARL JAM Guitarist Jams With SOUNDGARDEN, DAVE GROHL Watches From Crowd

July 26, 2011

According to The Pulse Of Radio, SOUNDGARDEN was joined by PEARL JAM guitarist Mike McCready onstage during the band's concert at the Los Angeles Forum on Friday night (July 22). McCready came onstage to perform the title track from SOUNDGARDEN's 1994 "Superunknown" album (see video below). Meanwhile, FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl was also at the show just to watch but instead of standing on the side of the stage or in a VIP area, Grohl took in at least part of the band's set with the audience.

Drummer Matt Cameron plays with both SOUNDGARDEN and PEARL JAM, who are currently recording a new album in Los Angeles.

SOUNDGARDEN wraps up its first full tour in 14 years this Saturday (July 30) at the Gorge in the band's home state of Washington.

The band will return to the studio shortly after the trek ends to continue work on its first studio effort since 1996, which is expected out in early 2012.
